3F MEXICO Hosts Event at AMRACI

On July 1st, 3F Mexico—represented by Dr. Thierry Bluteau, Director of 3F Americas—had the pleasure of participating in the technical sessions organized by the Mexican Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association (AMRACI).

The organization’s primary objective is to foster a culture of prevention and professionalize the industry. It brings together manufacturers, engineers, and distributors to ensure professional-grade systems, the use of certified products, and the implementation of cutting-edge technologies, all with the aim of guaranteeing complete fire safety across the country.

On this occasion, Dr. Bluteau delivered a presentation titled “Next-Generation 3F Smart Foams: Fluorine-free, Solvent-Free low-viscosity technology compatible with existing systems.” Through this topic, he provided critical information regarding the significant pollution caused by PFOS and PFAS—substances found in the AFFF foams commonly used in the fire protection sector.

This highlighted the importance of adopting new fluorine-free fire-fighting foam technologies, such as the “SMART FOAM” line manufactured by 3F in the United Kingdom.The presentation was a resounding success; in addition to sharing the aforementioned vital information, Dr. Bluteau detailed the use of FREEGEN SF-LV low-viscosity foams. This unique technology allows for a transition to new fluorine-free foams without requiring modifications to currently installed systems, thereby eliminating additional migration costs. Furthermore, these foams are solvent-free—a unique 3F characteristic—making them the highest ecofriendly option on the market.
